Posted February 01, 2018 08:16:04Leicester Tigers prop Manu Tuiagi is happy to return to the Manu-led team for the first time since joining the Tigers on a one-year deal.
“I’m feeling good, ready to play,” Tuiigagi said after a session with the team on Tuesday.
“It’s a great feeling to come back and play with Manus.”
Leicester’s loss to Melbourne Storm in the second Test at the Gabba in November meant the Tigers were in a four-match losing streak.
The 20-year-old has struggled in recent weeks, missing two matches and having to be subbed out in each of them, but he said the injuries were the toughest he has ever had to deal with.
“You can’t win games by just winning one game.
You need to win two games, three games, four games to win a game,” Tuaigagi told the club website.”
And then you need to play against good teams like Melbourne Storm and New Zealand, so we’ve had a tough couple of weeks.”
Tuiigagagi said he was grateful for the opportunity to return home to England.
“This is a great country, it’s my home, it makes me feel at home, I really like it,” he said.
“Now, I want to play for Manus and play for the club.”
Leicesters have yet to confirm their starting line-up for the second match in their Origin series against the Manus Sea Eagles.
The Manus squad will be announced on Tuesday and will be named on Thursday morning.
