You might be used to the idea of going online to get news, watch a video or catch up on the latest TV show, but what if you were doing it with the help of an ad-supported app?
Well, that’s exactly what Bell Media’s online ad-serving platform, Bell Media Adalage, is designed to do.
The company is set to roll out a new mobile ad-streaming app called Adalance to its users on Thursday, and has been working to bring it to the web.
“We’re bringing Adalay to Bell Media to bring our community-driven, ad-focused community closer together,” Bell Media CEO Tim Kelly said in a statement.
“We’re proud to be working with Bell Media and others to bring Adalai to life, which will help us achieve a world-class digital product for our users and businesses.”
As the name suggests, Adalacay will be powered by Bell Media, which is the world’s biggest mobile video provider, with more than 70 million subscribers.
According to the company, the app is designed for “people who want to get out and have fun on the go and those who are looking to share content with others”.
“We want people to have fun, and it’s about connecting,” Kelly said.
“Adalacai allows you to do just that.
Users can share their favourite stories, find out what other users are watching, and watch more than 100+ videos at once.
The platform also lets you set your own favourites and create your own videos, share them and be notified of new content on a regular basis.”
The app also provides a user-friendly interface, which means you don’t have to navigate to a page to download and install it.
The Adalas app is free, with users getting a 10 per cent discount on content purchased from the Bell app store.
To get started, just download the app and click on the ‘Subscribe to Adalax’ link to sign up for the beta program.
Once signed up, you’ll need to log into your Bell account and log in to the site.
Once you’re signed in, you will be asked to login to your account to view the beta and then to subscribe to the beta app.
Once signed up for beta, you can download the latest version of the app to get access to all the latest features.
As the app works on desktop and mobile, you have the option of either browsing through video or viewing video in your mobile browser.
“When you watch videos on the app, you don,t have to worry about having to open the video file and navigate to the correct page,” Kelly explained.
“You can view a video anywhere on the web and view it at the speed you want.”
According to Bell, users can watch up to two hours of video per day, or watch 10 hours of videos a day.
The app offers a range of other features too, including the ability to share videos to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and access to the news feed of your favourite news sites.
Bell Media also has a news app, which can also be used with the Adalashay app.
“The newsfeed you get is constantly updated, so you can stay up-to-date with what’s happening in the world and the news of Bell Media,” Kelly added.
